Travelling to Dubai with your child? Find out about required documents and discounts for children's visa applications.
Dubai E-Visa for Children
Every individual travelling to Dubai must hold their own e-visa — this applies to children too. However, child applications come with some advantages.
Child Discount
Children under 18 receive a 40% discount. For example, if the adult fee is $99, the child fee is $59.
Required Documents (for Children)
1. Child's passport (at least 6 months validity, 2 blank pages)
2. Child's biometric photo (white background)
3. Copy of parent/guardian's passport
4. Birth certificate or equivalent proof of relationship
5. If travelling with one parent: notarised consent letter from the other parent
Babies and Toddlers
A visa is required even for babies aged 0–2. Photo tips:
- Baby can be photographed lying on a plain white surface
- Eyes must be open and face clearly visible
- Parent must not appear in the photo
How to Apply for the Whole Family
You can apply for the entire family in one session via Dubai Go Visa:
1. Click "Apply"
2. Enter the first adult's details
3. Use "Add another person" to include other family members
4. Discounts are applied automatically based on age
5. Complete all visas in a single payment
Travelling with One Parent
If you are travelling alone with your child, a notarised consent letter from the other parent may be required. Without it, you could face problems at the airport.
Different Surnames on Passport
If a married woman is applying for a child using a passport in her maiden name, it is advisable to include a copy of the marriage certificate.
